Our Work

Education Loan Scholarships

The trust has, until now, focused on higher education keeping in mind that our middle class parents, while managing their daily needs, are unable to manage funds for higher professional education for their wards. Our achievements in this field are as follows:

Total number of beneficiaries: 51

Total donations received: Rs 24,20,544/-

Loan scholarships approved: Rs 22,55,865/-

Grant–in aid approved: Rs  3,82,169/-

Total loan amount refunded: Rs 8,81,000/-

It is our endeavor to harness the energy of the rising sun (our coming generations) and salute the setting sun that has given us light and energy (take care of our senior citizens). We have begun with education with particular emphasis on higher education because that is expensive and that is where a number of promising careers are abandoned for want of funds. The field is vast and open, we have miles to go and we are a determined lot. Our strength lies in our professional approach to our mission and total integrity while our weakness is human suffering. May, the Almighty gives us strength and guide us through in our mission! Amen!

Aalim Knowledge Center:

Innaugrated on August 10th 2014, our public library/knowledge center is open to all between the hours of 10:00am – 8:00pm Monday to Friday.

Our objective in establishing a Knowledge Centre is to provide a platform with adequate infrastructure for dissemination / sharing of knowledge in all possible fields for youth as well as senior citizens. To start with, the following activities are functional:

  • Conduct seminars, workshops and lectures on select subjects and inviting leading persona in the respective field to participate and share their experience.
  • Provide vocational training sessions for senior citizens such as computers and data entry jobs.
  • Free use of PC Lab with Internet facilities for needy research scholars.
  • A Library and reading room catering to the needs all age groups.

Sunday Workshops

Every Sunday between the hours of 10:00am to 1:00pm, we have our weekly workshop and classes at the knowledge center. At this time our volunteers are conducting  English language and Computer Literacy classes for children and youth. So far we have had a good response from the nearby community. We hope to grow this initiative in the coming months.
